Impuls is popular in Germany, good 2nd glider for school (after the idiot hill). It is very robust make, everything very strong material. Somebody told me Impuls is just copying WillsWing, Impuls=Harrier, Impuls IC=Sport.
Anyway, flies nicely, quite lively, not for absolute greenhorns (see above).
There was a security announcement by DHV for the lower cables that go together at the keel on the behind (maybe only Impuls IC).
There is a special solution for the cable going into the keel, watch out for the cable at this point because it can break!

This summer, I got an Impuls 17 from a friend who had quit hanggliding ( in fact, after purchasing his equipment just after "school", more than 20 years back, he just kept it in the barn). I had to sign a paper, that he presented me the glider only for "decoration purposes". It turned out to be in good shape, perfectly airworthy.

YES, it IS a copy of the WW Harrier, no doubt. Mine is equivalent to the "187".Well, in fact it is better... US Gliders at that time still used bolts and wingnuts.. Like all european gliders, the Impuls had ball-lock pins plus some more nice solutions..

It flies just great. After one hour, all was understood and I started to outclimb the paragliders, including our local heroes. An ATOS crack kept on chasing me, but he was too fast to follow the bussards.....
Thermalling and soaring in marginal conditions is just a pleasure - same as landing on those tiny paraglider top landing spots.
Last weekend, I tested the low speed range. We were soaring with some paragliders in smooth autumn air. Amazingly, I could really manage to see them zooming away.

I think my Impulse deserves some pimping.Cutting off some of the parasitic drag, such as profiled downtubes, kingpost, crossbar etc.
