The wing that revolutioned hang gliding and made it into its modern age.
On ne peut pas mieux dire.
Facile, qui grimpe qui va loin. Qui laisse au tas tout le monde. Le vol dans toute sa splendeur; en toute sécurité. Le plus grand bon pour le vol humain. Et de loin.
I still have it. It's a good glider
J'AI UN COMET . rien que de le dire , c'était déja super hahaha !
I flew comets from 1980 - 1994. I owned a Comet, Comet OVR, and Comet 2. All these gliders were built by Dick Cheney out of layton UT. The Comet was and still is the glider that revolutionalized hang gliding. I also owned the TRX and still own the Predator. Dick Cheney builds the best sails for HG I never had a problem with flutter on any of his gliders.
on ma donné un comet 185 une des méilleur ailes que j ai ci ce n ai pas la méilleur méme ? trop bien
I had (still have) an early Airwave-built Comet 165. I flew many hours on it between 1993 and 1995. Vary soft, predictable handling in roll and a really good sink rate. Exceptionally easy to land with a soft, progressive approach to the stall. Loved it and will probably fly it again after renovation.
Comment above should read "1983 to 1995"
Great flying machine. First real cross county capable wing. My first and last higher performing glider. I have one in great condition for any interested party. It needs to fly again.
I WORKED AT UP IN TEMECULA , 1980-84I HAD 2 COMETS IN 1980-84
The Comet was hands down the best thermalling glider I've ever flown. You could lock into a thermal and practically eat your lunch. Of course the pitch was a bitch with lots of bar pressure trying to go fast. I flew it a few times with the speed rail, but zero bar pressure at high speeds scared the crap out of me...
