This wing looks very much like an attempt to make a weight shift version of Platz's canard wing. The sailboat type jib canards are identical as is the sail like main wing. The angle of incidence between the main wing and the canards looks unworkable in this design but perhaps there was some means of controlling the pitch angles?
I wrote an article on Platz's wing wing with photos which was publish in the USHGA magazine if anybody is interested further.
I took this photo in summer 1977 at the Lilienthal Meeting on the Wasserkuppe.
As far as I remember, this glider never flew....
