I finally towed the SX using pro - tow method even without a fin I thought the whole deal was a no brainer. Conditions were smooth and that helped . Pitch pressures were light and roll was standard I find towing like that gives you great feedback. The VG is very stiff so apply some sailkote to the pulleys and it will free it up. Still I think the SX is underated on the whole and I think it is a stable and predictable glider.

Elle a été ma premiére aile, achetée neuve en fevrier 1983; Jim Bowyer, de Hiway, me l'a portée directement de l'usine. Assez simple à piloter, réponse au virage lente, les baleines n'étaient en aluminium mais en tube plastique. Tout juste pour novices mais toujours des bons souvenirs.

Well I only have 7 hrs on a 1997 SX149 so far I had heard that they may be a little yawy on tow. I foot launched mine and had a great time Compared to the XT it is stiffer in roll and harder to track but much easier in pitch and handles great most importantly it lands really well..Only bummer is the VG is hard to pull and its heavy.
I found it a pleasure to thermal....Love it

I bought this glider after having a troubling time on a Magic IV. That glider was too advanced for me and I was scared when I flew.
So, I took a step back and bought a Falcon. It was the best buy I have made to date. It keeps me at the top of the stack easily and I have relatively low airtime. It is a breeze to land and handles superbly. If they are still about, get one, you won't be sorry.
